FINAL ITINERARY for the March 25, 2010 Patriot Guard Mission to honor SGT Anthony A. Paci of Rockville, MD.

Please join us to stand the flag line to honor SGT Anthony A. Paci, 30, of Rockville, Md., who died Mar. 4 at Gereshk, Afghanistan, of injuries suffered while on duty.  He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 17th Infantry, 5th Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash.  We will be standing the flag line to honor this young soldier and also escort him to the hallowed grounds of Arlington National Cemetery.

Your Lead Ride Captain is Mark Krause(410/302-3700).  Other Ride Captains assigned are Clay Tarpley (443/235-5910), and Kevin Rock (202/276-6277).

Thursday, March 25
Rally Time:  8:00am to 8:30am
Rally Location: Pumphrey’s Funeral Home, 7557 Wisconsin Ave. Bethesda, MD 20814

Schedule
9:00am to 10:00am:  Visitation
10:00am to 11:00am:  Funeral Service
Following Funeral services we will join the procession to Arlington National Cemetery for 1:00pm graveside service and full military honors.

Bethesda is a very congested area and we will be getting there during the morning rush, so you must take safety into consideration as you transit.  Upon arrival, please look for Ride Captains to guide you into the parking/staging area. If you arrive early please stay with your bike as we have a specific area we must park in.  If you cage this mission, you will have to park your vehicle in the general lot for Pumphrey.  4 wheel vehicles will most likely not fit where the bikes will be required to park.

Bring your 3 x 5 US flags if you have them and also water and snacks.  Please be fueled and ready to ride upon arrival. There are two fuel stations north of the rallying point:
Texaco at 8240 Wisconsin Ave.
Amoco at 8101 Wisconsin Ave.
And one south of the funeral home: Exxon at 7100 Wisconsin Ave.

Please keep an eye on the mission thread and e-mails for rallying point information from your local ride captains.

For those Riders coming from Southern Maryland.  There will be a meet point at Lord Calvert Bowl, 2275 Solomons Island Road North, Huntingtown, MD 20639.  Meet time will be 0600 - 0615 hrs.  We will KSU at 0615 for the approximately 1.5 hr ride.  This will be a Route 4 to I495 run so beltway traffic will determine our arrival.

Weather will be cloudy and 65 degrees in the afternoon, but still a little chilly in the morning with temps in the mid-40’s. Dress accordingly.
