Thanks - HOTH - WR BBQ
We've heard many comments from the troops, their families, the employees and even the WR Garrison Commander who attended with his family. They all said it's the best event that's been put on there! We had pit beef, bbq'd chicken, Italian sausage, Brauts, hot dogs, home made fruit salad, corn on the cob...and lots of other good ole time summer foods!
There were lots of door prizes donated, gift baskets, gift cards, motorcycle vests, hand made items and too many other items to name!
Our cooks brought their big cookers and donated their time again this year. They always look forward to helping out.
The motorcycle show and tattoo contest was a huge success as well...and very popular.
The band, The General Store Band-USA, donated their time and had a wonderful time!
We estimate 350-400 WR patients and their families attended in addition to about 100 WR employees, PGR members, Blue Star Mothers, various individuals, other clubs and many more!
A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL WHO DONATED THEIR TIME, MONEY AND ITEMS TO HELP MAKE THIS A HUGE SUCCESS!!!!!!!!!!!! Many local businesses, groups and individuals jumped in when needed. There are too many to name, but everything was much appreciated.
NOW YOU KNOW WHY TED AND I DO WHAT WE DO!!! And we hope that seeing first hand will inspire others to get more involved. As we all know, it's not about us, it's about them!
