Military & Veterans Honor, Galena, MD., 8 May 2010

We are pleased to announce that the Town of Galena, MD has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in their annual Dogwood Days Festival parade on May 8, 2010, followed by a short flag ceremony in town. The theme of this years festival is "Honor Our Military and Veterans". The town and the PGR have always been a great partnership in paying tribute to our fallen heroes and military, and it will be a great privilege to be part of their celebration this year. Please ride in a show of appreciation to our friends, the folks of Galena.

Location: Galena, MD
Time: 1000 hrs, with parade line-up begining at 0900, and complete no later than 0945 hrs.
(Late Entries will not be allowed)
Rally Point and Time: 0900 hrs, just east of Jim Davis Rd. and MD Rt. 313

A rally point will be set up on Kent Island for riders coming from the West.
Rally Point: Kent Towne Market Shopping Ctr. (near the Burger King)
Rt. 50/301 WB, Exit 39B on Kent Island.
Rally Time: 0730 hrs. with KSU @ 0800 hrs. (sharp)
Gas and amenities available on site.

The extended weather forecast is for Sunny, 68/48. Please be fueled up, dress appropriately, and hydrate. Don't forget your securely mounted 3X5 parade flag and ceremony flag. We will not see highway speeds at the parade and a cleaned and polished cage is welcome at this mission as well.
